Research

There are two research groups in the institute. One is “Scientific Computing and
Artificial Intelligence” and the other is “Applied Mathematics”. They will be described
as below.

Scientific computing is an important tool in daily life . It is an academic field that
explores how to build applications and solve complicated problems in science and
engineering with high-performance computing. Our research includes biological ion
channels, semiconductor physics, Bose-Einstein condensation, celestial mechanics,
dynamic systems and so on.

Artificial intelligence is applicable across a wide range of industries and research
fields, including food, clothing, housing, transportation, entertainment, and more.
Our research includes machine learning for self-driving vehicles, the application of
artificial intelligence in astronomical data analysis, and other areas.

Applied mathematics involves modeling and analysis in various fields, including
science, engineering, and biology. Our research covers fixed-point theory, optimization
theory, molecular thermodynamic models, nonlinear singular perturbation, ordinary
differential equations, partial differential equations, and moving interface problems.
